Patriot Paws of Aggieland is a satellite program of Patriot Paws Service Dogs. Patriot Paws of Aggieland works closely in conjunction with Patriot Paws to assist in the socialization, training, and overall raising of specialized service dogs to aid disabled veterans.
Patriot Paws Service Dogs has partnered with several prisons, volunteers across the state of Texas, and college campuses, including Texas A&M, to help raise and train these service dogs in hopes of getting more dogs to more veterans. Patriot Paws of Aggieland has been an official student organization since Fall of 2013 and membership continues to grow year after year. Since then, over 1,000 students have participated. Patriot Paws of Aggieland helps to socialize and teach different cues to these dogs. This satellite program is an essential part of Patriot Paws Service Dogs, which provides this service to those who have served.
Howdy! My name is Cleo Crouch and I am so happy to be with you this year as the President of Patriot Paws of Aggieland! I have been a part of PPA since 2021 and have previously served as Media Coordinator and Vice President/Treasurer. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Patriot Paws and cannot wait to see all of our new and returning faces! See you soon!! :)
Howdy! My name is Deanna Hafley and I am proud to serve as your 2023-2024 Vice President and Treasurer! I am currently a Junior Sociology major and while I am not fully set on a career plan, I hope to always help others in whatever I am doing! This is my third year in the org and my second year as an officer. This past Fall semester was super eventful and I had fun getting to know a lot of new members! I am super excited for another great semester, and look forward to seeing everyone and their pups!
Howdy! My name is Skylar Hager and I am the Social Coordinator for the Spring 2024 semester! I am an Allied Health student graduating in May. I joined Patriot Paws of Aggieland because I love the impact we get to make, and because I am going to graduate school in Abilene in the Fall to be an occupational therapist where I hope to become a facility dog handler, so this is a great experience! I can't wait to see everyone at our socials and events this semester, 2 legs and 4 legs!
Howdy! My name is Emily Sharp and I'm the Fundraising Coordinator for Patriot Paws of Aggieland! I'm in the class of 2025 as a Junior in Biomedical Sciences hoping to go to PA School after four amazing years here at A&M. In my free time you can find me either hanging out with my friends constantly or being a couch potato reading a novel! I have raised four dogs so far and cannot wait to raise even more these next couple of years because being a part of Patriot Paws has shown me how much of an impact us college students can do once we put our mind to it. I hope everyone's semester goes well and can't wait for our first meeting this year!
Howdy! My name is Maddi Summers and I'm honored to serve as the Public Relations officer this year! I'm a Junior Sociology major who is a 3+2 student so I'm currently at The Bush School pursuing my Masters in Public Service and Administration! My goal is to work for NCIS as a federal agent where I can continue to support veterans. I've raised 11 dogs so far and I love every moment in this organization! Patriot Paws has changed my life and helped guide me to my future career! I'm so excited to meet everyone and see some familiar faces!
Howdy! My name is Jolie Zimmerman and I am the Media Coordinator this year! I am a junior Animal Science student pursuing a Meat Science Certificate. I joined Patriot Paws of Aggieland because I've always loved dogs and wanted to help veterans the same way my mom's service dog helps her. I have raised 8 precious pups so far. This organization has not only introduced me to my best friends, but has also taught me patience, responsibility and teamwork. I look forward to a great semester with all our new and current members!
Howdy! My name is Madison Cronin, and I am serving as the Corps Liaison officer this year! I am a Puppy Raiser for Patriot Paws, as well as a member of A1 Company in the Corps of Cadets! I am contracted with the Army, so I will commission as an officer after graduating with my Animal Science degree, and I plan to retire from the Army. My favorite thing about Patriot Paws is being able to give back to our veterans who have given up everything for our country. Thanks and Gig'em!
